Spring Team

The Women’s Spring Team Matches are a statewide tournament consisting of 5 matches played on Thursdays (April & May) between 6 Mass Golf member club teams in each cup. The format is singles net match play at 100% handicap allowance. Points are awarded for each hole won or tied.

Fall Cup

The Women’s Fall Cup matches are a statewide tournament consisting of 3 matches played in September between member club teams. Each team consists of 6 female players. Each match will be played in a four-ball (best ball) match play format at 90% handicap allowance. Players from each team will be paired by handicap index (lowest to highest) for each match.  The Fall Cup season will culminate in the Fall Cup Championship, where a gross and net championship team will be crowned. The Fall Cup Championship field will consist of each region’s winning team sending 6 players to compete in a four-ball (best ball) stroke play format.

Mid-Swingers

The Mid-Swingers is a team competition among 6 area clubs. Walpole CC players must be members, age 21+, and have an established handicap through GHIN, between 15.0 and 30.4. Each team consists of 6 players and partners and opponents are determined by handicap order and pairs are made by the index from the Friday prior to play.

The format is four-ball match play on a point system. Match play is on a point system: 1 point for a hole win, ½ point for a hole tie, 0 points for a loss of hole. If a player has no partner, opponents can take 11 points maximum. Single players earn as many points as she can and there is no limit. The captain of the team that has a single player may decide which of her players will be the single player.

The cost is $10 (cash) / player, per match, which goes towards prizes. After the money prizes have been distributed, the remaining money is given to the captain of the team that hosts Field Day. These morning competitions are held five times throughout the summer and include a cart and lunch.
