Walpole Country Club is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole championship golf course with a reputation for its impeccable conditions and playability.
We are a sought-after tournament site, having hosted dozens of the region’s most important events, including the Massachusetts Open, the New England Open, the Mass Golf Mid-Amateur, the USGA Amateur Qualifying, the NEWGA Championship, and the NEPGA Pro-Senior.
Our course was originally designed by golf architect Al Zikorus, with enhancements made since 1994 by Ron Forse to improve the course’s challenge level, playability, and maintainability. The result is a track that not only holds its own at the championship level—“That’s the hardest 6600-yard course I’ve ever seen,” a leader in the 2012 Mass Open was heard to say as he walked off the 18
th green—but is also a joy for members to play each day.
The Club has an active tournament schedule that is widely supported by the membership. Men’s, Women’s, Junior, and Mixed tournaments dot the calendar and offer everything from serious to social competitions. One of the Club’s most appealing qualities is the ease with which members can find playing opportunities. From blind-draw groups that gather each weekday to the online tee-time system, finding a game is rarely a problem.
Our Junior Golf Program is considered one of the best in the area, with activities ranging from group clinics to individual instruction to tournament competition.
And if you’re looking for a site for your corporate or charity golf outing, Walpole CC can be the perfect choice for you, with golf packages and dining options designed to meet widely ranging needs.
